Savvas Savvides is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England Wales) and an associate member of the Institute of Taxation (London).



An ex-Inland Revenue senior officer, with wide experience in all forms of Cyprus taxation, Savvas Savvides is one of the top tax consultants in the country. Savvas was the Senior Tax Partner of KPMG Cyprus until early 1989 when he moved to the post of the Managing Director of the Cyprus Hotels Ltd group until March 1994.  As from April 1994 Savvas Savvides is a tax consultant based in Nicosia, offering his services to companies and individuals including professional accountants and lawyers. 

A member of Council of the local Institute of Certified Public Accountants 1981-1998, a past president (1987-1989) and past chairman of the Taxation Committee, Value Added Tax Committee and Offshore, Shipping Companies and Foreign Investments Committee.


An active writer and lecturer in tax from 1991, he was the editor of the local Institute's magazine, "Accountancy Cyprus" until August 1998 and as from June 1990 he is the Editor of the "Cyprus Tax Report". He is also the editor of the Cyprus Offshore Report.


Savvas Savvides acted as an associate consultant on Cyprus taxation in connection with certain tax studies carried out by international tax consultants for the Government of Cyprus, one of such studies being a study of the competitive position of Cyprus as an international financial centre.
